Wharton County Junior College

Established in 1946, Wharton County Junior College is a multi-campus, comprehensive community college that provides various educational programs. Its Allied Health department provides degrees in radiologic technology, nursing and health information technology. Wharton County Junior College also provides diploma programs in various subjects, including kinesiology, mathematics, law enforcement, psychology, sociology and engineering. The technology and business courses offered by the college include office administration, computer science, electronics technology, engineering design, Cisco networking and paralegal studies. Additionally, the college provides various music programs in jazz, choir and band concerts. Wharton County Junior College also provides public safety training that includes emergency medical, fire fighter and basic peace officer courses. The college is approved by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is located in Sugar Land, Texas.
