Violin and Fiddle Learning Center

History

I studied Suzuki violin at the UT String Project from ages 6 to 15--2 lessons, music theory, and orchestra under graduate students weekly. I tutored violin and viola students in AISD under the founder of Austin Suzuki Academy. Some played in Carnegie Hall with the McCallum Fine Arts Academy Orchestra. Since then I have owned Violin and Fiddle Learning Center and Austin Fiddle Lessons.

Specialties

I'm Mary Alexander. Your first violin/fiddle lesson by Zoom is free, then $25 per 30 min/week. I'm a certified teacher with 20 years' experience teaching all ages, including AISD orchestra students! I teach the Suzuki method, recognized worldwide as the best and fastest way for beginners and those returning to the violin to learn. Reading music is not required, but you will learn as we go along. I can teach you any genre you are interested in...fiddle, classical, sacred, electric, Jewish, pop, golden oldies...the sky's the limit! I can assist with finding a violin too.
