History

Originally the crown jewel in the Interstate Theater chain of movie houses, the Vernon Plaza was the first 3D movie theater built in Texas. Originally owned by Fred Palmer and then later the Barton family, the Plaza is currently under the ownership of Steve and Sahar Ray and Mark Farr-Nash and Cathy Day. Steve and Cathy are natives to Vernon and grew up watching their favorite movies at the Plaza. We are all proud to continue that tradition into the 21st century.
