Headquartered in Bownwood, Texas, Citizens National Bank is a single-branch banking institution. It was founded in 1906 as Citizens National Bank of Brownwood with $100,000 in capital. The bank was forced to close in 1931 as a result of the Great Depression, but was rechartered in 1934 as Citizens National Bank at Brownwood.
