History

The first NightLight center opened in Sugar Land in 2007, creating what is now the pediatric urgent care market in Houston. Today, NightLight has eight locations in Houston including Sugar Land, Cy-Fair, Pearland, Humble, Webster, Tanglewood, Garden Oaks and Katy. NightLight's mission is to provide quality, affordable, compassionate service for infants, children and adolescents. NightLight exists to be the first choice provider for pediatric urgent care when the primary pediatrician is not available. NightLight improves quality of healthcare through its market-leading continuum of care by increasing coordination with the primary care physician by caring for their patients on an after hours basis. This reduces the cost of providing that health care though emergency room and other forms of urgent care.

Specialties

At NightLight there is always a pediatric trained physician on duty. NightLight works directly with the child's pediatrician, not as a replacement of their services, offering its services after hours, on weekends and evenings with the primary care physician's office is closed. Additional benefits to the primary care physician include PCP call-in priority, detailed coordination of care treatment notification, and follow-up emailed or faxed visit summary to PCP after close of each night. This helps improve after hours care of primary care physician patients. Services include x-rays, wound care and repair, splinting, management of mild to moderate dehydration, fever management and education, breathing treatments, prescriptions plus treatment and education, detailed coordination of care, and wart removal. We also provide convenience without the compromise by offering pediatric Telemedicine through NightLight Connect. We have carefully considered how Telemedicine needs to work for children and take a specialized, pediatric approach to ensure your child is receiving the best care possible.
