History

University Wheels is run by Sam Kuhn and Jess DeWoody, who have been servicing the Lubbock Community for almost a year. It began when Sam, a Texas Tech Student, was in need of a bike to get to and from class with. It was cheaper to buy a beat up piece of junk and tune it up then it was to buy a new one. It was from this idea that University Wheels was founded on. Eleven months later, almost one hundred bikes have been restored and sold back to the community for a fraction of what local bikes shops charge.
