Alamo Children s Advocacy Center, incorporated in 1992, provides a wide range of services to sexually abused children and their families that help reduce the likelihood of this behavior. The organization offers crisis intervention and on-going counseling, public education and professional training, child sensitive medical evaluation, and thorough investigation of sexual abuse cases with both public and private agencies. It also provides court orientation to children who are testifying in trials concerning prosecution of the alleged offenders. The organization s library provides books, videos and pamphlets dealing mainly with the subject of child sexual abuse. Alamo Children s Advocacy Center has its headquarters in San Antonio.
