UBH Denton opened its doors to serve the DFW community in 2005. This 104 bed hospital has served thousands of individuals and families, helping them overcome the challenges of mental illness. October 30, 2013 UBH Denton is recognized as a Top Performing Hospital by the Joint Commission for key measurements.

UBH Denton specializes in inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment for ages 5 to mature adults. Our evidence based programming caters to those suffering from depression, bipolar, trauma, PTSD, addiction and many other serious psychiatric illnesses. Our team of mental health professionals focus on helping individuals recover their hope and happiness through strong group and family therapy. Individuals who come to UBH Denton will receive a free evaluation to determine their current mental health needs. UBH Denton offers specialized programs including Freedom Care, a military program focused on PTSD and Chemical Dependency Exclusively Women's, a program developed for challenges women face such as sexual assualt trauma, loss of a child or loved one and addiction caused by these types of challenges. Would give 0 stars. This place is horrible and traumatizing. Stay away! Anywhere but here! Medical health was neglected. They did not tell me they were cutting important medicine so I got worse....

This place is unbelievably horrible. I wouldn't take my worst enemy. If you have insurance, they will keep you there at all costs even against your will. They will not communicate with family...

UPDATE - okay, to be fair I heard there hasn't been a women's trauma unit anymore and the program has been completely changed. I'm sorry if it sucked for you, but my experience remains the same....
