History

Our owner, Jess, first discovered the Chimney Cake while on vacation in Prague. When she returned to Houston she searched and searched but couldn't find the delicious roasted treats she'd been obsessing over. Unable to shake the craving, she decided to open up her own shop and share the dessert with her city! Determined to share the most authentic version of the unique treats, Jess flew to the Transylvanian region of Romania (original birthplace of the Chimney Cake!) for research and training. She brought back the traditional recipes and techniques, and now Twirl Treats serves these made from scratch treats all over the Houston area!

Specialties

Twirl Treats' most popular treat is the Chimney Cake! This popular street food from Hungary is made by roasting sweet dough on a rotisserie grill then dusting with cinnamon sugar. The caramelized sugar gives the outside of the cake a crispy crunch while the inside stays light and fluffy. Enjoy them hot off the grill or filled with creamy soft serve ice cream and a Nutella smear. Each cake is hand rolled, baked to order, and made with just a handful of all natural ingredients!
