Transportation & Roads Department

The Road & Bridge Maintenance Division is a public service agency and a part of the Department of Transportation and Natural Resources of the city of Austin, Texas. It provides a variety of road treatment plans, such as blading and oiling for unpaved roads, crack sealing, surface replacement, road reconstruction and new road construction. The Department of Transportation and Natural Resources is responsible for the engineering, design, construction, and maintenance of county roads, drainage and bridges. The department also provides fleet services for various county vehicles and equipment. In addition, it works towards solid waste management, environmental protection and resource conservation.
