Joshua D. Harris, MD, is a dedicated and experienced orthopedic specialist in Houston. He has advanced training in sports injuries and arthroscopic surgery for the treatment of labral tears, femoroacetabular impingement, labral reconstruction, gluteus medius tears, hamstring tears, and ischiofemoral impingement. After completing his residency, Dr. Harris completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at Rush University in Chicago. Following his fellowship, Dr. Harris completed an additional traveling fellowship in arthroscopic hip preservation surgery. During his time in Chicago, Dr. Harris served as an orthopedist for the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Steel, and the DePaul University mens and womens basketball and soccer teams. He then relocated to Houston to establish his practice and offer evidence-based orthopedic medicine to help with a wide range of orthopedic and hip-specific complaints.In addition to his clinical practice and prolific research program, Dr. Harris is also Associate Editor for the prestigious Arthroscopy Journal. He is a member of the International Society of Hip Arthroscopy, The Arthroscopy Association of North American, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the Orthopaedic Research Society.
