Thunderbird Lodge at Spider Mountain is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Buchanan in the Texas hill country. It's part of Spider Mountain Bike Park, the nation's only year-round, chairlift-served mountain bike park in the country. This rustic property is a nature lovers dream whether it be wildflowers in spring, a dip in our beautifully renovated pool in the summer, or our Eagle's View hiking trail in the fall, and much more. The premier cabin, the Texan (which is near by our Event Center - great for reunions and other special events), can sleep up to 18, with luxury overlooking the lake. From horseshoes and campfires, to hiking and biking the incredible trails here at the bike park, there's plenty to do for high thrills and adventure all the way to low-key relaxation.

Cabin 12 is supposed to be a resort property with a lake view. It is actually run down, smells bad and has no lake view.

The cabins aren't great. Super old and water smells. If you can afford to get the Texan, then you're fine. The rest are pretty basic. Also make sure and check the lake level before you go. It is a...

Welcome to Willow Point Resort, your Texas Hill Country lakeshore getaway. Waiting for you are eleven newly built log cabins and a large five bedroom waterfront home. The log cabins are fanned along the water's edge on a 3 acre peninsula with large old oaks, cedars and willows. Each log cabin sleeps 6, has a full kitchen, oversized AC/heat, an open loft, and covered porch where you can enjoy scenic views across the lake. Willow Point Resort has been featured in Texas Monthly Magazine and the Houston Chronicle as an ideal Hill Country family vacation spot and as well as a relaxing getaway for couples. Willow Point provides campfire areas with free firewood, horseshoes, soccer, free canoes, and a water garden. You can swim on our natural, sandy beaches, and fish from the bank or from the free rowboat. You are welcome to bring your own boat and launch at the new free county ramp just 4 miles from us. Feel free to leave your boat anchored on the beach overnight....depending on the weather, of course...or park it in our overflow parking area designed for trailers, extra cars and boats. Behind the cabins are 2 air conditioned recreation centers....the Club House and Davy Crockett Hall. The Club House has 2 tv areas, tables for board games, free DVDs and free popcorn and coffee in the kitchen. The Club House is open 24 hours for all of our cabin guests to enjoy.
