Dr. Runnels is a Louisiana native but has called Texas her home since the beginning of medical school at UT Health Science Center in Houston in 1995. She found her way to San Antonio in 1999 for Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Training.After Dr Runnels completed training in 2003 and received the Outstanding Resident Award. She spent a short time on faculty at the medical school, but ended up finding her way to a private practice to fulfill her true passion, which is patient care.Dr Runnels has 3 wonderful children and spends her working time on Office-Based care & procedures only.
