Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation is a public, nonprofit corporation, administering the federal family education loan program. Based in Round Rock, Texas, TG has been operational for more than 25 years. Founded by the Texas Legislature, the agency provides various loan programs through a public and private partnership with local banks and credit unions, and serves more than 60,000 borrowers, schools and lenders throughout the country. It also deals in review processes, application submissions, guarantying procedures, reinsuring, repayment solutions, background checks, monitoring of loan status, payment of claims, and compliance services. Additionally, TG provides online information about common records, distance education, federal consolidation loan guarantee system edits, electronic signatures, private student loans, buying guides, and conference presentations.

The Texas Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association (TPCIGA) is a nonprofit, unincorporated legal entity. It is composed of all licensed property and casualty insurers who must be members of the association as a condition of their authority to transact insurance in Texas. It was created by legislation enacted in 1971 by the Texas Legislature. TPCIGA provides a mechanism for the payment of covered property and casualty claims to avoid financial loss to claimants or policyholders because of the impairment of an insurer. It assists in the detection and prevention of insurer insolvencies and provides an association to assess the cost of that protection among insurers. Since 1992, it has been responsible for handling claims directly.
