The Holy Smokers

History

The Holy Smokers (Nate and Jon) were created in the offices of Gateway Church, Austin Texas as characters in an inspired culinary story. Through a friendship at mixtape marketing in Austin, TX, Nate & Jon were introduced to local product, Chameleon Cold-Brew coffee. When Chameleon hit the shelves, the company posted a cooking contest on Facebook. This cooking contest is the brainchild of Nick and Theo from the Food Experiments and is backed by sponsor, Brooklyn Brewing Company. Nate and Jon entered the Austin leg of the National Tour of The Food Experiments and won 1st Place during SXSW in 2011 and were sent to Brooklyn, NY, for the National Championship Cook-off. At SXSW in Austin, the Holy Smokers took 2nd place in both the People's vote and Judges' vote in 2012.
