Landmarks, the public art program of The University of Texas at Austin, features James Turrell's The Color Inside, a Skyspace that invites visitors to experience a unique interplay of natural and artificial light. Located on the rooftop of the William C. Powers Jr. Student Activity Center, this artwork creates a contemplative atmosphere, enhanced during sunrise and sunset with dynamic light sequences.
The Color Inside is the 84th Skyspace designed by Turrell, offering a space for approximately 25 people to enjoy the changing effects of light, weather, and time throughout the day. Visitors are encouraged to return frequently to fully appreciate how different conditions alter their experiences of this innovative installation.
