Texas Mutual Insurance Company is one of Texas leading providers of workers compensation insurance and insurance services. Serving the entire state of Texas since 1991, the company was made possible when Texas Legislature chartered the Texas Workers Compensation Insurance Fund and gave Texas Mutual the task of stabilizing the state s workers compensation system. In 2001, the legislature redesigned its charter and changed the company s name to Texas Mutual Insurance Company. It is a member of the Texas Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association. Texas Mutual Insurance Company contracts with independent auditors to review its progress each year. The company is based in Austin, Texas.
