History

The church began in 1839. The museum was attached to the church in the 1950's and recently renovated to a modern museum.

Specialties

The Museum house artifacts and displays on Texas history and Texas Baptist history.It is the oldest continuous Baptist Church in Texas, home church of Sam Houston and family, original site of Baylor and UMHB.
