Approximately 1% of Americans are diagnosed with Arteriovenous Malformations (AVMs). Since this condition is so rare there is very little research being conducted on AVMs in the United States. Our goal is to raise money to hire a physician who will conduct dedicated research for increased awareness, early detection and better treatment for AVMs. Help us raise the necessary funding that it is going to take for this to happen. The Conroe Medical Education Foundation administers the Conroe Family Medicine Residency Program, which includes health, dental and vision insurance options for residents and families. Its facilities include a cafeteria and a physicians' lounge. The foundation offers entertainment and recreational opportunities and organizes hiking and biking activities. It maintains rooms with private bathrooms, televisions, refrigerators, computers and fax machines. The Conroe Family Medicine Residency Program is managed by the Lone Star Family Health Center, which was founded in 2002 and provides medical care services to the residents of Montgomery County in Texas. The Lone Star Family Health Center specializes in the treatment of acute illnesses and chronic diseases.
