Texarkana Metropolitan Planning Organization

The Texarkana Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is the administrative agency responsible for transportation planning in the Texarkana Urban Transportation Study (TUTS) area, which includes Texarkana, Arkansas, Texarkana, Nash, and Wake Village, Texas, as well as parts of Miller and Bowie Counties. Committed to continuous, comprehensive, and coordinated transportation planning, the MPO provides opportunities for local citizens and elected officials to be involved in the planning process.

With a study area spanning nearly 195 square miles in northeast Texas and southwest Arkansas, the Texarkana MPO consists of various committees, including a Policy Committee, a Technical Committee, a Citizens' Advisory Committee, and dedicated MPO Staff.
