History

The owner, Richard Thomas, picked up Terry's Automobile shop on 1865 N Treadaway simply to have a place to work on his vehicles. He also wanted to help other friends with their vehicles on a small scale, not really intending to grow the company to what it is now. As he became more busy with friends and walk-in customers the need became greater for a good mechanic shop in this part of Abilene, especially with weekend hours, and the shop grew. Over the years, the small facility could no longer handle the volume of automobiles, along with 18 Wheeler trucks all getting various mechanic services and tires. We have Kevin, a full time mechanic, and Sandie working hard as our office manager during normal M-F 8-5 business hours. Terry's Auto is growing even more at the new location 2329 N Treadaway. Terry's Automotive provides free estimates for both foreign and domestic vehicles. We also sell new and used tires for automobiles and big trucks. The weekend is a great time to get an oil change or tune-up. O'Reilly's and Advance Auto Parts are within walking distance. Also,we can help big rig trucks.
