My dad wanted to celebrate his 60th birthday in San Antonio (we're from Dallas). Besides the usual Alamo and Riverwalk, he also wanted to go the tamale festival which fell exactly on his birthday....
I generally love any and all events/functions/concerts at Pearl, so it hurts me to have to give anything less than 4 or 5 stars. But truth be told... the Tamale Festival has officially outgrown...
Should be called the Festival of lines. Unorganized lines in an area too small for the turnout ruined 2015's Tamale festival for me. I waited in line for 15 minutes for one serving of way...
I love the culture and obviously food at this festival... Unfortunately it is so unreasonably crowded, it's hard to enjoy. Last year we happened on it (we were at the Pearl anyway) where it was...
