Mark T. Malone, MD, a native Texas, is a board certified pain specialist. In 2002 he began his new company, Advanced Pain care, in Austin. Prior to starting his own practice he was a member of a group practice for 12 years. In addition, he was a Clinical Instructor at Baylor College of Medicine for six years. Dr. Malone has successfully treated thousands of patients in acute and chronic pain. He received his Bachelor's Degree, with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin. He completed his Medical Degree at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1982. Dr. Malone's Internship and Anesthesiology training was at Baylor College of Medicine. He completed a Pain Management Fellowship at Texas Orthopedic Hospital in 1998. He is Board Certified in Pain Management with a subspecialty Certification in Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. This is the only board certification for pain management endorsed by the American Board of Medical Specialties. Dr. Malone is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Spine Intervention Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the Travis County Medical Society. He and his wife, Tracy, live-in Austin with their three children. He enjoys water skiing and bicycling.
