What a wonderful little stop along 288 near Lake Jackson. The docent was well informed and enthusiastic about Texas history. Nice area for picnics in the back. Highly reccommended.

He's big... really BIG! 76 feet big including the base! The Stephen F Austin statue on the side of the road in Angleton is hard to miss! He looms over 288 as you drive by and it's near impossible...
