St Pius X High School

St. Pius X High School, located in Houston, is a coeducational school that was established in 1956. The school provides higher learning opportunities and enrolls more than 600 students in grades nine through 12. Its curriculum includes English, mathematics, foreign languages, world history, science and social studies. Additonally, the school provides courses advanced placement and honors level courses in communication, health, theology, English language and literature, mathematics, United States history, physics, biology and chemistry. It also provides elective courses in government, theology, Web design, journalism and economics. St. Pius X High School additionally provides Bible study classes comprising the Old Testament and the New Testament. The high school provides ACT and SAT preparation classes. It organizes various extracurricular activities, such as arts, music, band, choir, drawing, painting, drama and theater. The high school also provides various sports activities, such as volleyball, basketball, softball, cross country, golf, swimming and tennis. The school is approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
