A native of South Korea and raised in Chicago since age nine, Dr. Kathy Ravanbakhsh says her childhood dream was to become a physician. She earned her bachelor's degree from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and medical degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. In her work as Chief of Urology Surgery, Dr. Ravanbakhsh, FACOS, said it is rewarding to see patients improve and heal despite the tough and vulnerable times she knows many patients experience. She said she values the team approach at CHI St. Joseph Health and the importance placed on every individual's role in patent care from beginning to end. Dr. Ravanbakhsh has been married since 1998 and is mother to two young children. She enjoys spending leisure time with her family, running and staying healthy.
