The Katy Independent School District Distribution Center plays a crucial role in ensuring schools and district departments are well-equipped with over 550 different items necessary for daily operations. By leveraging the purchasing power of Katy ISD and Harris County Department of Education’s Co-op, the center efficiently acquires supplies in bulk, resulting in significant cost savings through competitive bidding. Throughout the 2020-21 school year, the Distribution Center processed nearly 10,000 orders and delivered over 400,000 individual supply items to more than 70 facilities and departments.
