Special Education

The Special Education Program focuses on the intellectual, academic, linguistic, social, emotional and physical development of students with disabilities. Its educational program includes instruction in English, social studies, reading, writing and mathematics. The program maintains a staff of educational diagnosticians, special education counselors, behavior specialists, data management aides, transition coordinators, and speech, physical and occupational therapists. The Special Education Program is a part of the Kerrville Independent School District, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools in Texas. It serves students in prekindergarten through grade 12. The district operates administration, athletics, business, child nutrition, human resources, purchasing, technology and transportation departments. The Special Education Program is located in Kerrville, Texas.
