The Southern Apache Museum (SAM) in Houston, TX, originally opened its doors in January 2012 as a community center for indigenous peoples of all first nations. Due to relocation, SAM is now situated at 5600 Northwest Central Drive and is also set to become the future home of the Indigenous People Center (IPC).

Collaborating with the American Indian Genocide Museum and supported by the Houston Endowment, SAM aims to contribute to the future of Houston by preserving indigenous heritage and promoting education. SAM welcomes donations to support its mission of preserving the way of life and walking in beauty.
