Sheriff's Office

The Liberty County Sheriff's Department maintains social order and peace, as well as provides professional law enforcement services. It is comprised of more than 65 employees that include uniformed deputies, supervisors, detectives, nonuniformed officers, administrators and civilians. The department also has over 15 reserve officers. The Liberty County Sheriff's Department operates a Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) unit, which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the use of illegal drugs, membership in gangs and violent behavior. It also provides services for protection of lives and properties, as well as deterrence, detection and investigation of criminal activities. The Liberty County Sheriff's Department is located in Liberty, Texas.
