San Marcos Police-Narcotics

The San Marcos Police Department is comprised of more than 80 sworn officers and over 25 civilian employees. It offers crime prevention, narcotics investigation and victim services programs. The department also operates an advanced training facility with a physical fitness center, computer-controlled shooting range and driving track. Located in San Marcos, Texas, the department has a patrol unit that emphasizes community policing techniques. The San Marcos Police Department also has a crisis response team that helps the victims of hit and run fatalities, family violence, child abuse, sexual assault and other traumatic events. The department additionally manages a family justice center that helps to reduce family violence-related homicides.
