San Antonio Museum of Art exhibits and interprets works of art, which represents a range of history and world cultures. The museums collection of art includes American, Asian, contemporary, European, Latin American and oceanic. Based in San Antonio, Texas, it has received accreditation from the American Association of Museums. San Antonio Museum of Art has one of the largest collections of art of the ancient Mediterranean world in the southern United States. Its program includes lectures, concerts, films, children s workshops, scholarly symposia, family art activities and special exhibitions.

This excellent art house spans 5000 years of global culture. They have a sizable inventory and rotate items from their permanent collection, so it's not likely you'll see many of the same things...

A Sunday well spent at the SAMA! I had been wanting to visit for quite some time! I'm so glad we finally came and we enjoyed it so much! This museum has so much art varying from so many countries....
