Step in the warm and welcoming world of one of Texas's best-known statesmen at this site in Bonham. A 1930s radio, photos of Franklin Roosevelt, period china and other Rayburn family treasures greet you as you stroll through the 1916 home and grounds. Fondly known as Mr. Sam, Rayburn was one of the most powerful and influential politicians in the 20th century, serving 24 terms in the U.S. House of Representatives. His 1947 Cadillac, a historic smokehouse, barn, and garage complete the homestead of this true American patriot.

The museum is a separate place. The museum is free. The historical home charges a small fee for a monitored, but self guided tour. A docent is available for questions.
