Saira Jamal, MD

Dr. Saira Jamal is a board-certified family physician with advanced training in geriatric medicine. Her areas of special clinical focus include hypertension, diabetes mellitus, asthma, obesity and medical weight loss, gynecological menopausal issues, geriatric disorders like polypharmacy, falls, depression, dementia/Alzheimer’s disease, failure to thrive, and osteoporosis care for the aging population. Dr. Jamal earned her medical degree and completed an internal medicine residency program in Pakistan. She completed her family medicine residency at Methodist Hospital in Gary, Ind., and her geriatric medicine fellowship at LSU School of Medicine.
