Sachin Gupta, MD

Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist Sachin Gupta, MD is Board Certified in Cardiology and Cardiology, and he practices primarily at Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio's Medical Center location and Methodist Hospital. Dr. Gupta has been on the other side of healthcare. As young boy in India visiting the doctor with his brother who was frequently ill, Dr. Gupta was influenced early on by the respectability of the medical profession. Years later, when his daughter was born with health issues, Dr. Gupta and his family occasionally experienced the kind of care he vowed not to deliver to his own patients. Today, Dr. Gupta is proud to spend time with his patients, to win their trust and to fully explain treatment options and plans of care. After completing his medical degree at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India, Dr. Gupta came to the United States to complete his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Gupta would complete an Cardiology fellowship followed by the fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Between fellowships, Dr. Gupta completed a Master of Science in Clinical Science there as well. Dr. Gupta has been an avid researcher in heart failure and has published several articles in leading peer-reviewed journals such as Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and European Heart Journal. He also received the Young Investigator Award from the American Heart Association in 2010.
