In February 2016 I combined my passions of electronic engineering and cycling and began building e-bikes. I started off installing the popular Bafang BBSHD and quickly found a steady following. Later I started doing performance builds for people wanting something with a little 'more'! Now I do performance hubs and mid-drives of all kinds.

Located in Canyon Lake, TX, Rix Rydes is a one-stop shop for all electric assist bicycle (E-Bike) needs! We are in between Austin and San Antonio in the beautiful Texas Hill Country! While electric bicycles have been around for years, advancements in lithium battery technology (performance and cost) have made them a far more viable transportation option. While E-Bikes cannot completely do away with cars and trucks, for many, they make a lot of sense. Our E-Bikes are powerful enough to get you where you need to go quickly, while avoiding traffic congestion and parking expenses. E-Bikes also do not require licensing, inspection, registration or insurance in most cases, making them an ideal form of transportation on any budget. Not to mention, they're FUN!
