Pta Texas Congress
The Texas PTA, established over a century ago, was founded by two visionary women, Ella Caruthers Porter and Willa S. Benton, who sought to improve public education and empower families in Texas. With a mission to advocate for every child's potential, the organization has grown to nearly 500,000 members and over 10,000 volunteer leaders across more than 2,200 school PTAs.
As the second-largest state PTA in the nation, Texas PTA continues to engage and empower communities to foster student success and build better futures. Their commitment to family engagement and advocacy has been unwavering for 116 years, making a significant impact on public education in Texas.
