Providence Missionary Baptist Church, located in San Antonio, Texas, was founded on July 11, 1964, by the late Rev. Marvin Randle. With humble beginnings and 15 members, the church initially held services in a building on 103 North Acme Road before moving to its present location on Monterey Street in 1968. Under the leadership of Rev. Randle, Providence experienced growth and reached a membership of 100. Although membership declined over the years, the church continued to serve the community, spreading the message of salvation in Jesus Christ. After Rev. Randle's passing in 1987, Rev. Rudolph Jones took over as Pastor, followed by Rev. Lonnie Franklin, Rev. Kennith G. Rogers, and finally, Rev. Larry K. Glass, who has led the church since October 2001.

Throughout its history, Providence Missionary Baptist Church has been dedicated to spiritual growth and community outreach. Under the leadership of Pastor Glass, the church has seen an increase in membership through baptisms and the establishment of various ministries, including Men's, Women's, and Youth Ministries, as well as a Prison Ministry and a Comprehensive Accounting System. The church has also undergone renovations and completed the construction of a Fellowship Hall. With a commitment to serving the needs of its congregation and the wider community, Providence Missionary Baptist Church continues to be a welcoming place of worship in San Antonio.
