History

Throughout GRAD's twenty-five year history, our mission has remained constant: to improve lives in low-income communities by helping individuals develop and achieve their educational aspirations. Kathryn and Jim Ketelsen founded Project GRAD with the belief that with the right support and motivation, college and a brighter future are possible for all. Education is the key to open the door to a brighter future. GRAD has supported approximately 8,000 Houstonians from low-income communities to enroll in community college or university, and GRAD Scholars are succeeding at a rate that is triple the success of their peers across Texas.

Specialties

Project GRAD improves lives in low-income communities by helping individuals develop and achieve their educational aspirations. Project GRAD staff and volunteers support students at critical junctures of their educational path to make sure they accomplish their goals. We nurture their dreams early in high school, build confidence and self-awareness, provide information and guidance, help them get into college and find financial aid, and guide them on the journey to and through college and in obtaining a workforce certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree.

This organization scams high school students so they can obtain government funds and donations. They promise high school kids a College Scholarship if they participate in irrelevant activities...
