San Antonio ENT is dedicated to the prevention and alleviation of human suffering in patients with medical and surgical disorders in the field of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. A family of residency trained board-certified physicians, mid-level practitioners, and numerous highly specialized ancillary employees are dedicated to the delivery of compassionate, quality, state of the art, and cost-effective healthcare.

A native of San Antonio, Dr. Ruiz graduated from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He received his residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and is Board Certified in Otolaryngology. Dr. Ruiz is a Fellow of the American College of Surgery. Upon completion of his residency training, he began a private solo practice. He then joined the group in 1993. Dr. Ruiz is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology and Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He has been active as Clinical Faculty in the Christus Santa Rosa Family Practice Residency Program.

A native Texan, Dr. Bertino is one of the founding members of the group. He graduated from Southern Methodist University and the Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He was one of the first graduates of the Otolaryngology residency program in San Antonio and began practice with Dr. Sonny Marlowe in 1974. Dr. Bertino is Board Certified in Otolaryngology. Dr. Bertino has served as President of the Bexar County Medical Society and has been active in residency training as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
