The association serves more than 65,000 members in over 100 countries worldwide. It also offers certified petroleum engineering programs. Additionally, the association publishes magazines and journals. Its online book store provides reading materials related to drilling, geology, reservoir engineering, production operations and information technology. The Society of Petroleum Engineers, with a location in Richardson, Texas, also operates offices in Asia, Russia and Europe.
