The Optimist Club of Fort Worth, in partnership with Optimist International, is dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Youth." They provide significant scholarships to senior student athletes from 14 high schools in the Fort Worth ISD, as well as conduct an essay contest with scholarship awards. Additionally, the club operates athletic leagues for approximately 1200 youth, offering baseball, football, soccer, and softball programs for underserved youth in the community.
The club meets regularly to foster member fellowship and educate members about local community activities, featuring interesting speakers and presenting awards to scholarship and recognition program winners. Their major fundraising activity is an annual Christmas tree sale held at Farrington Field, a Fort Worth ISD football stadium.
