North Central Texas Council of Governments

The North Central Texas Council of Governments is a voluntary association that assists local governments in planning for common needs, cooperating for mutual benefit and coordinating for sound regional development. The organization serves a more than 15-plus-county region of North Central Texas. It has more than 230 member governments, including counties, cities, and school and special districts. The North Central Texas Council of Governments is responsible for geographic information systems design and maintenance services. The organization operates agency administration, public affairs, emergency preparedness, community services, transportation and workforce development departments. Its research and information services department performs demographic research on various topics, such as population, housing and employment estimates.
