I took kiddos on a tour of this facility so my daughter (who LOVES animals) could see the turtles up close. It was hot even inside so dress comfortably but they loved it. I even caught myself...

Miracles of miracles, the lab and turtles survived hurricane Ike. I saw the lab's web site come back on line and called them this morning. The lab is open again with a limited staff....

This is a fantastic educational facility. They open their doors to the public once a year. It is a great event and facility for children and adults alike.

Tried to find this place and couldn't find it... they could have been closed for the holidays.. there were signs showing you a direction, but nothing that said THIS IS THE BUILDING... dot FAIL.
