Once the country estate of Fred McCraven Nichols, a prominent land developer and Galveston County Tax Assessor Collector, the property features a 1896 Queen Anne Victorian house set within the Nicholstone Picnic Grounds Park.
In the 1990s, the estate was operated by Nichols' granddaughter, Cora Schelling Wright, who hosted weddings, receptions, and teas. Currently, the property is undergoing major restoration and is no longer available for events.
