Books are GEMS is a non-profit organization based in El Paso, Texas, that is dedicated to providing free books to children and educators. Since its establishment in 2003, Books are GEMS has distributed over 1.5 million books through various programs, including Nine Free Books a Month, Storytime Saturdays, and Major Distribution. With ongoing support from the El Paso community, Books are GEMS continues to expand its reach and make a positive impact on literacy in the area.
Located at 7744 North Loop, Suite B, Books are GEMS operates out of the back half of the PNC Bank building. Their mission is to promote reading and education by offering a wide selection of books for children and resources for educators.
