Natural Resources Conservation
The Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB) has been dedicated to protecting and enhancing Texas' natural resources since 1939. As the state agency responsible for administering soil and water conservation law, TSSWCB coordinates various conservation programs and initiatives throughout Texas.
Working alongside local Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs), the TSSWCB encourages the sustainable use of natural resources to ensure availability for future generations while promoting environmental health and economic growth. The agency actively manages programs addressing nonpoint source pollution, water quality, and conservation education, among others.
