History
In the summer of 2009, Tressa Castro the business owner, and some family friends came to visit in Mexico. Like with any trip, they sought out souvenirs to take back with them. Luckily for us, while they were beginning to gather the typical trinkets, Tressa had a better idea. She sent them back with intricate, handmade blouses and guayaberas made by local artisans as she felt those unique pieces would make much better gifts. She was right. It was love at first sight. Women and men went crazy for them. Within no time, people were requesting more and more items that she finally had to open a small showroom. Shortly thereafter, in 2010, Tressa opened Nativa in the Alamo Heights district of San Antonio and continues to personally welcome guests to her boutique when she isn't in Mexico visiting with the artisans.
