Four generations and nearly 70 years in business, the M.P. & K.D. Horn and Leather Shop is still bringin' you the finest in western accessories. Founded 1937 in Fort Worth, Texas, as CE Autry Leather ; Mr. Autry ( cousin of The Singing Cowboy, Gene Autry ) took his love of the western lifestyle and god-given gift with leather and taxidermy down the road to sell his wares at the biggest stock shows and rodeos throughout the country. Houston, Denver, Ft. Worth, Cheyenne... he set up shop and displayed everything from hand made leather goods such as purses and wallets, to custom made mounted long-horns. As the years went by and the family grew, so did the business, in 1962 the name changed to M.P. & K.D. Horn and Leather, incorporating the names of Autry's son Marvin Paul ( MP ), who took over when Autry passed away, and MP's daughter Patsy's husband Kenneth Duane Miller ( KD ). Now fourth generation and great grandson to CE, Duane Miller holds the reins and adds his own personal touch to the business. The family tradition lives on along with a few modern touches and the promise to bring top quality, unique western-inspired items to all. In fact M.P. & K.D. Horn and Leather still operates out of the exact same shop that CE Autry founded back in 1937! So come on in, take a look around.
