Mothers Day Out Program

CrossFire Youth ( grades 6-12 ) and CrossFire Kids ( grades 3-5 ) of La Vernia United Methodist Church provide the opportunity for young people to develop Christian friendships and relationships outside the home and school environments. Spiritual growth opportunities are provided through weekly services as well as camps, retreats, mission trips and other special events. The goal of our ministry is for each young person to gain not only a sense of belonging, but also an understanding of destiny and divine purpose in life. Our youth ministry is dedicated to praise and worship, Bible study, the development of godly character, evangelism, and service to one another, our congregation and our community. CrossFire takes up an offering every Wednesday evening. At the end of the year the youth decide which ministries to donate the money to.ServicesYouth services are Wednesday, 6: 30 to 8: 00 PM, but kids are welcome to come and join us for "hang time" right after school.We provide a safe and supervised environment. There is a game room with a pool table, foosball and video games as well as a basketball goal and a place to do homework while listening to Christian music. Snacks are provided on a first-come-first-served basis. Dinner is served on Wednesday from 5: 00 p.m. to 6: 00 p.m. once a month starting in September and ending in May. The cost is $1.00 per person.
